- 3 weetbix, crushed
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup coconut
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 125g butter, melted
- 200g (1/2 tin) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 tablespoons golden syrup
- 1 cup dark chocolate melts or chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons of oil
In a medium bowl, combine the flour, sugar, coconut, baking powder and crushed Weet Bix.
Melt the first measure of butter and mix through the dry ingredients.
Press into the base of a lined 15x15cm square cake tin.
Bake for 15mins @ 150°C.
Mix the condensed milk, golden syrup and second measure of melted butter together.
Pour over the cooked base and return to the oven for another 15mins.
Allow to cool.
Melt the choc chips in a bowl over a pot of simmering water and add the oil.
Pour over the caramel and allow to set before slicing into squares.
